Ellie is our world. She is the most amazing little girl, with a very old soul, and the power to draw anyone, and everyone in. She commands love. She is love, and she is our light.

Ellie has Prader-Willi Syndrome. Because of PWS, she has spent almost a third of her first year in hospital. We are in what they call the "Honeymoon Phase". She feeds well, she's sort of growing, and relatively speaking her problems are few.

The future scares us. I can't imagine what it must feel like for individuals with PWS to be hungry every waking minute. Can you? Ellie is already eating for volume, not for calories, which our doctor says is unusual in "normal" babies, and early for PWS kids. I don't want my baby girl to suffer the feeling of being hungry all the time, and never feeling satisfied. I need them to find a treatment for the hunger. Of course, we would love a cure, but for now, if they can solve the problem of the hunger, well, that would change her world.
