| Details | Let's all meet at 9AM at Jefferson Memorial Plaza for the first One SMALL Step Washington DC walk. We will kick off our event with a little warm up session led by fitness professional Ellen Bickford, then enjoy the two mile walk around the Tidal Basin, which will take us from the Jefferson Memorial to the Franklin Roosevelt Memorial, to the Martin Luther King Jr Memorial, past the Washington Memorial and back to Jefferson Memorial Plaza. The entire walk is stroller and wheelchair friendly. Parking is available 1/2 mile from the starting point of our walk at parking lots along Ohio Dr. (Parking lot A is closest). Please plan an additional 15-20 minutes to park. | More Details | We will provide water and snack (apples, applesauces, cereal bars) for all our walkers. We will have face painting and balloons for the kids. All walkers raising/donating a minimum of $40 will also get a T-shirt. |
